When we designed our Vancouver studio, we asked ourselves ‘What’s possible for the firm, for our work? Are we pushing, thinking and breaking away from preconceptions in everything we do? Are we maximizing our impact and potential?’

This mantra shaped a democratic and open workspace layout interspersed with informal gathering and meeting opportunities. Two key components of our design process, model shop and critique room, are featured in the heart of the studio. These steel boxes pull apart to reveal a flexible space that hosts temporary workstations, office meetings, and social events. Prime corner spaces with views to the city and the mountains are given over to meeting space and a much loved-lounge area popular for meetings, quiet work, and socializing during and after office hours.
