Azura Towers

Location

Vancouver, BC

Concord Pacific’s Azura Twin Towers provide residents with uninterrupted water views of False Creek while successfully extending public access to this beach front precinct. The project consists of two 33-storey towers with a crescent of townhouses forming the edge to George Wainborn Park adjacent the north shore of False Creek. Azura includes floor-to-ceiling glass, multi-purpose space, and unique club-like fitness/leisure facilities.

The design establishes two distinct but connected forms: a curved transparent window wall, anchored by a concrete rectangular block with recessed punched windows. The simplicity of these two shapes gives the towers their strength and establishes them as a gateway to the neighbourhood. Azura’s massing and façade of the townhouses creates a humanly scaled streetscape and minimizes the impact of the residential towers. The result is a project that establishes livability and a strong sense of neighbourhood within a high-density, urban environment.
