Carl-Jan’s passion for understanding human behaviour and interaction motivates him to find creative, cost-effective ways to integrate social gathering and casual learning spaces into projects.
Since 2005, he’s managed our Victoria office, and has expertise in recreation, community, aquatic, institutional, and educational design. His close attention to detail and conscientious approach to project and team management ensures the success of complex projects. His extensive experience includes master plans and renovations to aquatic and sports facilities in excess of $70 million.
Carl-Jan is a former member of the Esquimalt Design Panel, and was previously Vice-Chair of the Saanich Advisory Design Panel. He holds a Masters degree in Architecture and Urban Planning with a specialization in green technology.
