Visiting our Edmonton office
Arrival
Our Edmonton office is at the south end of 104 Street downtown, just before Jasper Avenue, beside Bernadette’s. The step-free entrance has a power-door operator, mounted on the doorframe just to the right of the door handle. Please be advised that the door is quite heavy to open manually. Inside, there is a small foyer with an elevator directly ahead. Our studio is located on the third floor via elevator, but a fob is required to operate it. Once inside, please contact us at 780-306-4464 and we will come down to meet you.
The call button to the elevator is on the wall to the right. Inside the elevator, there is a control panel on the wall to the right of the elevator doors. The buttons have tactile markings and braille. The bottom two rows have emergency call buttons. From the bottom moving up, the third row has open/close buttons. The fourth row has the Parking button. The fifth row has the Main Floor button. The top row has the Level 3 button. The elevator does not have voice announcements.
Exiting the elevator on the third floor, you’ll arrive in another foyer, and around the corner to the right is the corridor that leads to our office. There is signage posted on the walls to help with navigation. Heading straight down this corridor for about 7 metres, there is a corner jutting out from the right. Turn slightly left (about 1 metre), around this corner, then continue another 10 metres straight. There is another wall jutting out from the right. Turn slightly left once more (about 2 metres), and from there, continue straight all the way down the hallway 10 metres to our studio on the right (Unit 307). There is a manual-pull glass door providing a step-free entrance to the space.
Our studio is a shared, open-concept space that is wheelchair-accessible.
Parking and drop-off
There is paid street parking up and down 104 Street, with a loading zone directly in front of our office door, about 3 metres away. There is a designated 2-hour accessible parking stall, across the street from our entrance, on 104 Street.
Washrooms
There are gender-designated multi-stall washrooms with an accessible stall, located outside of our office space. From our office, turn left and head back down the hallway to the first door on the right. This door requires a passcode to enter, and the door is not power-operated. After entering this door, there is another hallway. Head straight down this hallway. The Men’s washroom is the first door on the left, and the Women’s washroom is the second on the left.
Men’s washroom: Entering the washroom, there is a privacy partition in front of the door, and heading left around the corner, there are two urinals, a standard stall, and an accessible stall (furthest on the left). On the right, there are two sinks, with soap dispensers in bottles on the countertop. On the wall perpendicular to the urinals, there is a recessed paper towel dispenser and garbage container in the middle of this wall, that you’ll pass when exiting the washroom.
Women’s washroom: Entering the washroom, there is a privacy partition in front of the door. Heading right around this corner, there are stalls to the left and sinks to the right. The accessible stall is the first one on the left, and the remaining three are standard stalls. There are two sinks, and the sink with knee clearance is on the left. Soap dispensers are in bottles on the countertop. On the wall, parallel to the sink on the right, there is a wall-mounted hand dryer and a recessed paper towel dispenser and garbage container.
There are no all-gender washrooms in the building.
