Shas Ti Kelly Road Secondary School

Shas Ti Kelly Road Secondary School has a proud tradition of academic, debating, speech arts and career preparation programs. It serves both the needs of 900 students from grades 8 through 12 and the wider Prince George community.

Following the success of Duchess Park Secondary, the School District engaged hcma to design Shas Ti Kelly Road Secondary School. With previous experience in secondary schools of a similar size, and an in-depth knowledge of Prince George, hcma was tasked with designing a similar school utilizing much of the same functional program layout, building organization and other aspects of the design such as the much loved "canyon" (a large multipurpose space that functions as the heart of the school).The school has both traditional classrooms and collaborative learning spaces including a 250-seat theatre, a light-filled central multi-purpose space, double gymnasium, food services and exterior gathering spaces.
