Key projects

I am motivated knowing that laughs, friendships, and memories are created around the architecture we create.

With a background in engineering, Josh brings an unique technical perspective to the project team. For Josh, it’s about creating spaces for the community to come together and connect. He is motivated knowing his design contribution to public buildings will have a positive impact improving people’s daily lives and strengthen communities.

Josh is an architect having worked on projects from pre-design through contract administration. Since joining hcma in 2019, he’s worked on a range of projects including community centres, schools, and public safety buildings. Most recently, he’s working on feasibility studies for various community centres and public safety buildings within the Lower Mainland and Alberta.

Since 2020, Josh has also taught the Structural Systems and Supports course at the University of British Columbia School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA) and has been a regular studio design critic for SALA. He enjoys sharing his technical and design knowledge to guide future designers in becoming passionate, and curious thinkers in order to make better buildings and communities.
