Derek attended Sheridan College in Ontario, graduating with his diploma in Architectural Technology in 1999. Co-operative work placements provided diverse opportunities that included completing construction documents for a nuclear power plant, and spending four months working in Bermuda on the head office for an insurance company. Derek left school with a taste for adventure, and headed west to BC.
Derek has successfully delivered major projects in the healthcare, community recreation, institutional and residential sectors. Rigorous attention to detail and commitment to thorough documentation has been a hallmark throughout his career. This is complimented by a strong base of technical detailing knowledge that continues to develop. Derek has also been involved extensively beyond the documentation phase, with construction administration roles on several projects of varying complexity.
