“The veil of architecture that is perceived by the end user is built on a complex, integrated technical framework. I enjoy resolving that framework so the building becomes a distilled essence of the intended concept.”
Rob spent six years working on low rise and high-rise residential architecture before joining hcma in 2014. Since then, he’s taken the technical lead on large institutional projects including secondary schools, ice arenas, and aquatic facilities.
Working closely with all team members including architects, clients, contractors, and consultants, Rob looks to find integrated solutions and deliver documents that meet all functional requirements, as well as the architectural aspirations of the project.
Having grown up in the greater Vancouver area, Rob has enjoyed the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the city’s built environment; he loves seeing projects come to life and change communities.
Rob loves nothing more than spending time with his three daughters and wife Rachel. In his limited spare time, Rob enjoys golf, cooking, making music, swimming, and running.
