I’m excited by architecture’s role in creating environments that facilitate important events in people’s lives. We have the unique opportunity to make meaningful impact with a humble and motivated design process.
By curating expectations, welcoming people to gather, building excitement, sparking curiosity, or inviting reflection, architecture can positively shape our encounters. Darin believes this contributes to the culture of our communities, and has the potential to enrich our lives.
He is passionate about working closely with clients, user groups, and design teams to discover new ways architecture can improve our experiences. As an Associate, Darin leads diverse teams on public space design and recreation projects in Vancouver and Edmonton, combining his love of sports and architecture.
Darin still diligently logs hours at his local skatepark and occasionally 'breaks ankles' on the basketball court. He is happiest with his wife and three young children, and loves to see them experience new adventures.
