“I love working on difficult problems — so much of what we value in the world comes from people working together to solve tough challenges.”
Marni believes in creating spaces for people to have their voices heard about what matters to them — in their communities and in their lives. As co-lead of hcma’s Impact Team, she and her team focus on inclusive design, social impact research, and community engagement.
She believes a more equitable future is possible and is committed to continued learning on how to do things in a good way.
Prior to joining hcma, Marni was a Director at Context Research where she developed and led engagement and communications strategies for municipal community infrastructure projects. She has been a champion for the creation of healthy, sustainable communities including projects that increase mobility, create connections between people and places, and provide essential public services.
Marni was previously Chair of the Advisory Planning Commission at the City of North Vancouver and a Director of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society of British Columbia.
