“What motivates me is the discovery of the architectural outcome after the unfolding of the creative process.”
With a background in sustainability, contemporary fabrication technologies and mass-customization processes, Rodrigo's research and practice focuses on social development in urban contexts, spatial innovation, and energy efficiency.
Over the last 12 years, Rodrigo has been the project manager and team leader of several mixed-used residential buildings in British Columbia including market housing, student housing, rental housing, and social housing developments. The accumulated years of architecture practice, teaching, and research related to sustainability has motivated Rodrigo to create the Cascadia Architecture Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that works as a platform for the integration and discussion of architecture and urban planning in the region of Cascadia.
