Artwork created specifically for public spaces is inherently accessible, often encouraging viewers to interact and engage with the work and blurring boundaries of ownership. See glass artist Victoria Balva and Calgary-based collaborative artists Caitlind r.c. Brown and Wayne Garrett take part in a conversation moderated by hcma Principal Melissa Higgs. They'll be discussing the complexities of copyright in relation to public art and architecture. What is the role of the artist, the architect, the public in relation to public art? Who is the owner?

RSVP now to attend this FREE event! Snacks and refreshments will be provided. There is limited seating, so if tickets are sold out please add your name to the wait-list and we will release additional tickets near the event date.

This TILT Talk event is hosted by Artists Legal Outreach in partnership with hcma and is part of a series funded by the City of Vancouver and Creative BC.
