Fraser Health Authority desired to implement a contemporary space to support family involvement during the birthing process in the Peace Arch Maternity Clinic. A family-centred, contemporary birthing experience is supported by eight new Labour Delivery Recovery Antepartum (LDRP) rooms, a designated family area and in-room overnight sleeping accommodations for partners or family members. Evidence Based Design philosophy and user group input helped to shape the birth centre’s hospitable atmosphere.
“Without you and your team our vision would not have been made a reality; you listened and cared. Women of White Rock now have an amazing setting in which to give birth, and the staff have a remarkable work environment.”
