Fraser Health Authority desired to implement a contemporary space to support family involvement during the birthing process in the Peace Arch Maternity Clinic. A family-centred, contemporary birthing experience is supported by eight new Labour Delivery Recovery Antepartum (LDRP) rooms, a designated family area and in-room overnight sleeping accommodations for partners or family members. Evidence-Based Design philosophy and user group input helped to shape the birth centre’s hospitable atmosphere.
“Without you and your team our vision would not have been made a reality; you listened and cared. Women of White Rock now have an amazing setting in which to give birth, and the staff have a remarkable work environment.”
