About the Role
We are searching for a Project Accountant to join our Finance team! A collaborative team player, the Project Accountant is responsible for the daily, accurate and timely financial management of projects. They enjoy the rigor of consistent performance and take pride in staying on top of tasks with accuracy. We are seeking a passionate individual; someone whose drive exceeds a defined set of relevant qualifications.
What You’ll Do
- Project accounting including project set up, timely submittal of project invoicing, work in progress management, project reconciliations, project reviews, project analysis, and supporting assigned project leaders in delivering profitable and successful projects.
- Review monthly invoicing of projects with project leads.
- Effectively communicate with project managers and principals regarding client contract documents, change orders and other modification approvals,
- Work closely with Partners, clients and project managers to track and monitor invoices ensuring correct submission and project reconciliation
- Preparation of monthly accruals.
- Other roles as part of the finance team will include account reconciliations, expense report review, credit card reconciliations and Accounts Payable processing.
- Assist the Finance team with month-end and year-end reporting.
- Cross train with others on team to provide support as needed
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in project accounting experience
- 3+ years in general accounting experience will be considered an asset
- Experience in architecture, engineering or construction industry
- Experience working in a deadline orientated and fast paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Working knowledge of Deltek Ajera will be considered an asset
Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000
