This Sunday Car Free Day YYJ will take over nine blocks of Douglas Street for Victoria’s 2nd annual community celebration with vendors, music, and more. The festival will host four stages including the First Peoples Festival stage, three licensed areas, a grass park, and more than 275 vendors with activities, shopping and food to enjoy.
Join hcma, Farmer Construction, and the Integrate Art Society at the social stair to get a new perspective of the city and enjoy the best view down Douglas Street! Step up and let us know what kind of art you would like to see in Victoria’s public spaces. Take a moment to imagine a city full of murals, installations, sculptures or video art and draw, sketch or scribble these ideas at the social stair.
This year you can also be entered into a prize draw for one copy of our Places book which explores a selection of key projects by HCMA and one copy of our Pools book, a publication on the design of public swimming pools.
Time and Location:
Sunday June 19th 11am-6pm, at the northeast corner of Douglas St. & Johnson St., Victoria
