In some residential and urban areas, the City of Vancouver has recently begun replacing sodium vapour streetlights with comparatively whiter and brighter LED fixtures. I met with CBC producer, Elaine Chau, at one of the urban locations—the corner of Burrard and Davie—to discuss the impact that the new lights might have on the character of public space in the city. The spot aired on the March 16, 2016 installment of the Early Edition on CBC Radio One.
