Peace Arch Hospital Maternity Renovation

The Peach Arch Hospital Maternity Unit provides family-centered care, wherein families remain in the same room for their entire stay. The eight, new, single-room, maternity-care (SRMC) spaces have a contemporary residential atmosphere and extra space for family participation during the birthing process. Medical support systems are deliberately hidden behind millwork, revealed only when required. This project also includes upgrades to support areas and physician sleep rooms as well as a new arrival area and nurse station. Request for birth placement at this unit have doubled since the renovation.
