Stuart Rothnie

Stuart studied Architecture at the University of Manchester in England. He went on to become an Associate with Squire and Partners in London for more than ten years, before moving to Canada in 1992. Since arriving in Vancouver, Stuart has developed a diverse range of architectural experience and has been responsible for projects in the healthcare, recreation, educational, residential and commercial sectors. Stuart is currently leading HCMA’s Health Care Team working on the long-term Master Plans for BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital and Nanaimo Regional General Hospital as well as working on family-centered acute care facilities at various hospitals in Lower Mainland and on the Island.

Clients will benefit from Stuart’s design experience and his strong organizational and user sensitive approach to project outcomes. Stuart is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has developed expertise in the management of multiple stakeholder groups and complex consultant teams. Stuart provides a highly personal and responsive approach to project delivery.

Stuart is past-chair of the West Vancouver Design Advisory Committee, past-member of the West Vancouver Planning Advisory Committee and Co-Chair of the District of North Vancouver’s Public Art Advisory Committee.
